Track which applications macMAKE has built and which have run on each Classic Macintosh architecture and operating-system version. Linux build evidence and Macintosh runtime evidence are recorded separately.
Current development baseline: Mac OS 9 (development runtime baseline)
macMAKE v0.1.1 passed local workspace, packaging, and clean-host qualification on Ubuntu 24.04.5 using the exact archive. It includes the bundled PowerPC and M68000 GNU compilers, minimal SDK fetching, external Rust/XCOFF interop, and CodeWarrior XML import. Real-guest runtime acceptance on Mac OS 9.2.2 is verified.
Development and candidate runtime evidence: The owner confirmed that makePAD, a small C89 text editor, runs on Mac OS 8.1, 8.5, 8.6, 9.0, and 9.1 PowerPC, and on a Mac OS 9 system whose minor version was not recorded. Those development observations apply to the identified application builds. Separately, the earlier unpublished RC6 Linux candidate built makePAD and that artifact was observed running on Mac OS 9.2.2 in QEMU; its dedicated evidence card records candidate evidence and documents the runner screenshot defect. Official v0.1.1 runtime acceptance on Mac OS 9.2.2 was subsequently verified with unmodified P6 PPM screenshots. A separate macMAKE-controlled native 68K development build of HelloWindow has launched and displayed its message on Mac OS 8.1. The native makePAD 68K observations are application-specific and shown below. Earlier PowerPC versions outside the list remain unverified. More specific capability claims—such as networking, cloud services, email, or browser features—will be recorded as those applications are built and tested. Historical MacSurf evidence on Mac OS 9.2.2 is listed separately.
macMAKE v0.1.1 has verified runtime acceptance on Mac OS 9.2.2 in QEMU 8.2.2 (mac99/G4) with makePAD (SHA-256 505a3b1deb62ffc396537b1010c8f23921f4ae4308ac6ee989ccf7cd285ca3d1). Unmodified P6 PPM screenshots and unchanged base disk verified.
What each status means
Runtime verified
The named application produced by the identified macMAKE build was observed loading, starting, and performing its stated functions on this exact OS version and architecture. This verifies that application build path, not every application or system API.
Startup verified
An application loaded and started successfully, but functional testing was limited.
Build verified
The identified macMAKE build compiled, linked, packaged, and structurally validated the named application; runtime on the target OS was not verified.
Compilation verified
Relevant source compiled, but a complete usable application was not verified.
Not tested
There is not enough evidence to classify this OS/version and architecture combination as compatible.
Unsupported
The identified release lacks a required architecture capability, or a specific limitation for that release is established.
“Testing in progress” is an activity indicator, not a compatibility result. Historical development evidence and official release evidence are shown separately. The public release status is never inferred from a different macMAKE build.
Development progress outside the exact release artifacts
These entries describe application-specific tests using identified development builds. They do not establish runtime behavior for the v0.1.1 archive.

Development in progress
The owner confirms makePAD works fully on Mac OS 8.1 68K. Earlier-system testing has identified Finder-opening limitations and a System 6.0.8 startup failure. This does not change public v0.1.0 support.

Unreleased macMAKE native development commit c55760a; not included in public v0.1.0.
Current stage
The owner confirms full operation on Mac OS 8.1 68K, including opening saved documents directly. Earlier-system results are recorded separately; System 6.0.8 fails startup.
The release column below is explicitly the public v0.1.0 runtime status. RC6 is an unpublished v0.1.1 candidate whose exact Linux CLI built makePAD and whose output was observed on Mac OS 9.2.2; it is shown separately from v0.1.0 and RC7. RC7 changes screenshot capture and still needs a real-guest screenshot check. “Other runtime evidence” names application tests tied to their exact candidate or development build.
No successful System 6.0.8 application runtime is established; the recorded native makePAD development candidate failed during startup.
macMAKE v0.1.1 status: Native 68K application generation was unsupported in that release.
No qualifying test observation is recorded for this exact OS/version and architecture.
Build attempt failed
This native makePAD candidate fails on System 6.0.8. The error alone does not establish a root cause.
Blocker (guest startup failure; startup): The owner reports: The application "makePAD" has unexpectedly quit(1).

The first native makePAD guest run reached startup and text entry but did not demonstrate working mouse interaction. A replacement using the proven HelloWindow event-polling sequence and broad drag bounds is built and awaiting retest.
Blocker (mouse event interaction; functional_behavior): mouse interaction failed: the owner reported that the application opened and accepted typing, but the window could not be dragged, the File menu could not be clicked, and the scrollbar appeared glitched.

Functional Behavior: failed
Limitations
This is development-build evidence and does not alter public macMAKE v0.1.0 support.
The failure is specific to makePAD mouse interaction on the tested first candidate; the owner-confirmed HelloWindow result remains separate evidence.
The replacement candidate has not yet been tested in the guest.
The candidate launched and accepted text, but mouse-driven menu, window, and scrollbar behavior remained broken. Inspection of generated m68k caller code showed Point arguments passed by value while multiple macMAKE Toolbox veneers treated them as pointers. A corrected candidate is recorded separately and awaits owner retest.
Blocker (68K Toolbox Point argument marshalling; functional_behavior): The owner reported that File-menu interaction freezes and the window cannot be moved. The previous report also noted a glitched scrollbar.

macMAKE v0.1.1's release-qualified application workflow targets Classic Macintosh PowerPC CFM/PEF, with a bounded experimental native M68000 application profile. Earlier operating-system behavior requires version-specific testing with appropriate SDK and runtime inputs. The 68K profile does not provide CFM-68K or general System 6–9 compatibility. macMAKE does not target Mac OS X.
