# Native 68K makePAD Point ABI candidate — owner runtime report

**Target:** Mac OS 8.1, native 68K, Quadra 650 compatibility profile
**Evidence type:** owner-run guest test of an unreleased development build
**Public macMAKE v0.1.0 status:** native 68K remains unsupported

The owner tested `makePAD-v0.1-macos8.1-68k-point-abi-fix.bin`:

- MacBinary II size: 17,280 bytes
- SHA-256: `8e921c870985aa172da708e78a77db8e768502c4bc600cb92217fadaf75879d5`
- makePAD source revision: `cd5cdf9572c6bcbec0d08723ed3af8ffb58c7877`
- macMAKE development revision: `d263743a181635d9b5481c40cac5dc04f8b3638d`
- Compiler: GNU GCC 12.2.0 for `m68k-unknown-elf`
- Application path: macMAKE-owned startup, Toolbox veneers, classic CODE resources,
and MacBinary packaging; no Retro68 tools

The owner confirmed that the application launches, accepts text, the window can
be moved, and File-menu items respond. This verifies basic GUI application
operation on this target for this development build.

The following behavior did not pass or remains unresolved:

- Clicking the close box did not finish closing the application.
- File > Open produced an error; the owner reported that the error dialog was
off-screen, so its message was not available.
- Opening a saved text file directly from Finder still failed.
- The Apple menu appeared without the Apple mark.

These results are limited to makePAD and this candidate. They do not establish
that every editor feature works, that every application is compatible, or that
the public macMAKE v0.1.0 binary can produce native 68K applications. The
Quadra 650 identifies the owner's target profile; it is not a claim that an
emulator reproduces the physical machine cycle for cycle.
