# makePAD development-build PowerPC runtime observations

Evidence record date: 2026-10-13

## Build identity

- Application: makePAD v0.1, six C89 translation units.
- macMAKE: unreleased development CLI revision `63666eb39d3e914639491857682d1918412b6b15`.
- Compiler: GCC 12.2.0 PowerPC development cross compiler.
- Assembler: GNU Binutils 2.46.1 PowerPC XCOFF assembler.
- Runtime/SDK inputs: locally supplied CodeWarrior-compatible MSL archives and Universal Interfaces headers/import stub. These materials are not included in macMAKE or makePAD public distributions.
- MacBinary II candidate tested: 32,128 bytes, SHA-256 `3f1128b2094210b10fbf69872c5080624b6cd2775a36470716a7185e59acde39`.
- Artifact source: makePAD Finder-event backport candidate, source commit `bc38a946ed1fdbc2eaf1bca67a74928db393ddef`.

## Owner-confirmed runtime results

The owner confirmed this application candidate works on Mac OS 8.1, 8.5, and 8.6 PowerPC. The same candidate was confirmed to work on Mac OS 9 without regressions; the Mac OS 9 minor version was not recorded. The owner also specifically confirmed that a saved document opens on Mac OS 8.5. These results demonstrate that the macMAKE development build produced a makePAD application which runs on each listed system. The per-version reports did not retain a complete itemized interaction checklist, so they describe this application's observed behavior and do not establish that every API or application is compatible.

The owner operates the Macintosh guest. These results are owner-reported runtime observations, separate from Linux-side build and artifact checks. They were produced with an unreleased macMAKE development build and do not verify the public macMAKE v0.1.0 binary.

## Scope and limitations

- The MacBinary was built and structurally inspected on Linux; runtime observations were supplied by the owner on the named PowerPC Macintosh OS versions.
- The intended OS-specific manifest names do not encode or enforce a minimum system version.
- This evidence does not establish compatibility with System 7, Mac OS 8.0, 68K systems, or every makePAD feature on every listed version.
- Individual menu, clipboard, resize, scrolling, and quit edge-case tests were not itemized in the retained report.
